During this evening’s City Council meeting, City Council continued to approve investment in water and sewer infrastructure. This agenda included Water Treatment Plant improvements to rehabilitate the settling basins and several filters at both the Lake Murray and Canal Plants (Item #9). Contract approvals were also given to assist with asphalt paving restoration for roads following utility repairs (Items #10 & 11). Additionally, approval was granted for professional services to upgrade a major wastewater pumping station (Broad River) and construction services to rehabilitate sanitary sewer manholes throughout the wastewater collection system (Item #12).
