A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Wilson draws strength and inspiration from her family. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Steve and Teresa H. Wilson and is the proud mother of her daughter, Teresa Alexandria Florence, who is a senior at the University of South Carolina Honors College.
