Out of respect for Senator John Scott and his family, the City of Columbia will be postponing the “Sistercare Saturdays” fundraising event. Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann and other City of Columbia officials plan to attend the funeral for Senator Scott on Saturday, August 19th at 11:00 a.m.
During “Sistercare Saturdays” Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann, public safety officials, City of Columbia staff and some local celebrities will participate in a dunking booth to raise funds for Sistercare and bring awareness to domestic violence. In addition, the City of Columbia will have free popcorn for everyone who donates, yard games to play and information booths to get more information about what the City and local organizations are doing to help victims of domestic violence.
