What: Press conference to raise awareness of Teen Dating Violence Prevention Month, educate the public on resources available, and to announce several events including a Teen Dating Violence Prevention Workshop.

In an effort to promote awareness and combat teen dating violence, the City of Columbia will be partnering with several community organizations to host events. These events will discuss healthy relationships, dating violence, self-esteem and positive image, as well as share resources available to teens directly impacted or those who suspect their teen may be experiencing dating violence. Representatives from the following community organizations will be present at this press conference to share details about their services: City of Columbia Police Department, Hush No More, Pathways to Healing, Rediscover Me, Sistercare, as well as the South Carolina Victim Assistance Network.
