The City of Columbia’s Solid Waste Division will modify their schedule for the upcoming holidays.
Christmas: Solid waste collections that are normally picked up on Mondays will be moved to Tuesday, December 26, and Tuesday routes will be moved to Wednesday, December 27.
New Year’s Day: Solid waste collections that are normally picked up on Mondays will be moved to Tuesday, January 2, and Tuesday routes will be moved to Wednesday, January 3.
City residents are encouraged to download the free “Columbia, SC Solid Waste” app for iPhone or Android for weekly collection reminders and holiday schedule changes. Residents can also sign up for other notification options online at http://columbiasc.net/solid-waste/recycling/waste-wizard.
