The Columbia Parks and Recreation Department closed the primary river access site under the boardwalk at the Saluda Riverwalk, 650 Candi Lane, on August 15. An alternate river put-in location will be available, and river users can follow signs to a temporary access site adjacent to the primary site. This closure is necessary for construction to begin on improvements to the river access site.
The improvements are funded through a grant from South Carolina Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s Recreational Trail Program, and will be complete by December 2023.
