Drake’s Duck In, a long standing fixture of downtown Columbia, is preparing for their grand reopening after temporarily closing their location at 1544 Main Street for renovations. The reopening ceremony will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, March 21.
Drake’s has served the citizens of Columbia for over 100 years, beginning in 1907 at their original location on Elmwood Avenue. They are still locally owned and operated, feeding generations of Columbians, and are the “home of the best chicken sandwich in the world.” Their current location on Main Street was last updated in the early 1990’s, and current owners Daniel Boan and Matthew Bridges look forward to welcoming the public back to the newly refreshed space with a modern look that still retains the mom-and-pop feel.
