What: The City of Columbia is proud to announce the grand opening of Cuban Corner.
Cuban Corner was founded by a Cuban family who came to the United States seeking political asylum, carrying with them the strength, love, and traditions of their homeland. Our story began right here in Columbia, South Carolina, where Cuban Corner was born two years ago at Soda City Market. What started as a small 10×10 tent quickly became a beloved local favorite, thanks to the incredible support and warmth of this community.
We are a multigenerational family, mom, dad, two daughters, and grandmother, who believe deeply in gratitude, hard work, and giving back. Today, our dream continues with the opening of our first restaurant, a space built with love, culture, and purpose. We are proud to represent the Latin community and to contribute to the growth of this great city that has embraced us like family.
Inside our restaurant, every wall tells a story. Many of the photos displayed are of the loyal customers who have supported us from our early days at Soda City Market, the people who believed in us when we were just a small tent with big dreams. Each year, we’ll continue adding more photos and invite every guest to leave their signature on our walls, because at Cuban Corner, every corner, every smile, every memory, belongs not only to us, but to the people of Columbia who made this dream possible.
