In observance of the New Year’s Holiday, the City of Columbia’s buildings and offices will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Solid Waste will be adjusting collection schedules for the New Year’s holiday. Garbage, recycling and yard trash scheduled for Thursday will be serviced on Friday, January 2, 2026, and garbage, recycling and yard trash scheduled for Friday, will be serviced on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

All city parking deck facilities
Wednesday, December 31st – normal operations until 5:00pm

- Wednesday, 12/31, at 5:00pm gates will be raised (Lincoln, Park, Lady, Sumter). So FREE *DECK PARKING Tuesday New Year’s Eve Night (12/31) through New Year’s Day (1/1)
- The gates will be lowered for normal operations at 2am on Friday, January 2nd 2026.
