The City of Columbia is inviting community members to apply for eleven (11) open seats across five (5) of its boards and commissions.
The City’s boards and commissions bring residents’ experience and perspectives directly into local decision-making. Volunteers who serve help guide City programs, advise on policy and represent the interests of their neighbors across Columbia.
The following boards and commissions with openings are:
Columbia Housing Authority: Two vacancies, each for a five-year term.
Columbia Prepares Advisory Committee: One vacancy for a two-year term.
Commercial Revolving Loan Fund: Five vacancies on the seven-member committee, each for a two-year term. Open seats are designated for one attorney, two small business owners, one community banker and one licensed commercial contractor.
Food Policy Committee: Two vacancies, each for a two-year term.
Riverbanks Park Commission: One vacancy for a five-year term.
