What: The City of Columbia celebrates the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of The Coastal Crust on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. The South Carolina-based family-owned restaurant known for its authentic Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas and handcrafted Italian-inspired cuisine, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Columbia’s BullStreet District. City of Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, Coastal Crust Owner Brian Piesner, and Hughes Development Corporation President & CEO Robert Hughes, will give remarks and cut the ribbon for this grand opening event. Immediately following the ceremony, the restaurant will officially open its doors to the public at 11:00 a.m. Media are invited to attend the celebration, capture the ribbon cutting, interview speakers and tour the new restaurant.
