We had a blast on Friday, September 17th, when the City celebrated our 6th annual PARK(ing) Day, with 14 parklets placed throughout the Main Street District! This year also marked the first year that PARK(ing) Day included a contest – a People’s Choice Award, and a juried Best Design Award. The votes are in, and the winners are:
- 2021 Best Design Award: Quackenbush Architects + Planners, for “Up-lifting” flying car
- 2021 People’s Choice Award: LS3P Associates, for their LS3P beach
Winners received bragging rights, as well as some fun, locally-sourced, prizes courtesy of One Columbia for Arts & Culture, Experience Columbia, Blue Bike SC, and local potter Leigh DeForth.
