We had a blast on Friday, September 16th, when the City celebrated our 7th annual PARK(ing) Day, with 18 parklets placed throughout the Main Street District! This year also marked the second year that PARK(ing) Day included a contest – a People’s Choice Award, and a juried Best Design Award. The votes are in, and the winners are:
- 2022 Juried Choice Award: Boudreaux Group, for their interactive gaming parklet
- 2022 Juried Choice Award Honorable Mention: The Columbia Shag Club, for their Main Street dance floor
- 2022 People’s Choice Award: LS3P Associates, for their Lego cornhole parklet
Winners received bragging rights, as well as some fun, locally-sourced, prizes courtesy of Experience Columbia, Blue Bike SC, Richland Library and local potter Leigh DeForth.
