Why BizArts Matters
BizArts is a dynamic cultural and economic empowerment initiative that empowers small businesses and creatives through cultural and economic uplift. By weaving together storytelling, community gatherings, creative showcases, and access to business resources, BizArts champions visibility, collaboration, and sustainable growth. The series highlights the ways in which entrepreneurship and the arts fuel innovation, build legacy, and drive collective prosperity.
“Most businesses are born out of necessity. They are built by visionaries, problem solvers, and neighbors who carry culture, spark innovation, and sustain communities. Small businesses are anchors of resilience, especially during uncertain times. BizArts brings together what communities need most: resources, networks, creativity, and opportunity.”
— Deon Generette, Founder & CEO, 7Sunday
“This collaboration brings together small businesses and creative entrepreneurs, fostering a space where artistry and commerce thrive, while strengthening the ongoing partnership between the City of Columbia and 7Sunday to advance creativity and economic empowerment.”
— Ayesha Driggers, Director, City of Columbia Office of Business Opportunities
