Bingo Senior Social 

The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department will host free Bingo Senior Socials on the second Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Busby Street Community Center, 1735 Busby Street. 

Join us for fun, games and surprises!

Many of our recreation centers have active senior clubs. These clubs offer organized activities, trips, and events.  It is a great way for active seniors to enjoy activities with others in their age group. Contact the recreation center in your neighborhood to join in on the fun.

EXERCISE CLASSES

Arthritis Exercise Classes

These classes are designed for those with limited mobility because of arthritis.  Low-impact exercises, mostly while seated, allows arthritis sufferers to help improve flexibility through stretching.

  • Greenview Park (6700 David Street)-Mon, Wed & Fri at 10-11 am
  • Hyatt Park (950 Jackson Avenue)- Mon, Wed & Fri at 10 am
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Park (2300 Greene Street) - Mon & Wed from 10:30-11:30 am
  • St. Anna's Park (1301 Liberty Hill Road) - Wednesday from 10-11 am

Senior Fitness Program

The Greenview Park Senior Fitness Club is one of the longest ongoing programs in the city. Please see the fitness schedule below:

  • Walking Club: Mon, Wed &-Fri from 9-10 am
  • Senior Fitness: Mon, Wed &-Fri from 9-11:30 am

Line Dance

  • Hyatt Park (950 Jackson Avenue)-Tuesdays from 10 am- 12 pm

CERAMICS / ARTS

Greenview Park Ceramics Room. $10/month allows use of molds, glazes and kiln firing.  Participants must purchase ceramic slip and other supplies.  Staff will pour and fire on site. Mon-Fri from 11 am-2 pm.
