Youth Baseball & Softball Leagues/Miracle League of Columbia ⁄ Track & Field Clinics


Registration Period Open for Youth Spring Sports Programs

The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its spring youth sports leagues in baseball and softball through February 23.

Youth Sports

Children ages 3-13 can play in the Spring 2019 Youth Baseball and Softball leagues. The youth program will offer the following divisions:

  • T-ball (ages 3-6, coed)
  • Coaches Pitch (ages 7-8, coed)
  • Minor League (ages 9-10, coed) 
  • Major League (ages 11-12, bcoed)
  • Girls Slow Pitch Softball (ages 9-13)

The fee to participate in the youth sports leagues is $25 per person. Scholarships are available for those who qualify.

Games will be played at various locations from March 30 through June 7.

Miracle League of Columbia Spring Baseball League Registration Open

Registration for the Miracle League of Columbia’s Spring baseball season for children ages 5 and older is underway, the Columbia Parks & Recreation Department announced. 

The baseball program provides a safe and enjoyable team sport experience for kids and young adults with mental and physical disabilities and limitations. 

There is no fee to participate. Games will be held at the Miracle League field at Owens Field Park, 1351 Jim Hamilton Blvd. League play will be held on Saturdays at 9 am beginning April 6.

City of Columbia Parks & Recreation to Host Track & Field Clinics

The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department has partnered with Richland School District One to offer free clinics during the month of March to introduce young athletes to the exciting sport of track & field.

The clinics are open to children ages 10-12. The clinics will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Eau Claire High School, 4800 Monticello Road, Columbia, SC 29203 on the following dates:

  • March 8
  • March 15
  • March 22
  • March 29
      

There is no fee to register. Registration forms will be accepted through Friday, February 22. Download registration form, below.
 
Registration forms are also available at any community center or at the Parks & Recreation Department’s Administration Office located at 1111 Recreation Drive, Columbia, SC 29201.
