Miracle League of Columbia Spring Baseball League Registration Period Announced
Registration for the Miracle League of Columbia’s fall baseball season will begin on Monday, August 13, the Columbia Parks & Recreation Department announced.
The baseball program for children with disabilities is open to ages 5 and older. There is no fee to participate.
Games will be held at the Miracle League field at Owens Field Park, 1351 Jim Hamilton Blvd.

Registration Period Announced for City’s Youth Coed & Girls Soccer Leagues
Registration for the City’s Youth Soccer League will begin on Monday, July 30, the Columbia Parks & Recreation Department announced.
The league is open to boys and girls ages 3 through 10. The fee to participate is $25.
The league includes a Coed Division and a new Girls Division for ages 7-10.
Coed Division: Ages 3-10
Girls Division: Ages 7-10
FEE: $25 per participant
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Friday, Aug. 24
SEASON BEGINS: 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Sept. 19 at T. S. Martin Park, 1810 Germany St.
Registration forms are available online on the department’s “Youth Sports” page at www.columbiasc.net/parks-recreation.
Registration forms are also available at any City recreation center or at the Parks and Recreation Administration Office located at 1111 Recreation Drive, Columbia, SC 29201.
Make checks and money orders payable to the City of Columbia.

Mayor Steve Benjamin to Host 9th Annual Drills & Skills Clinics
Registration for Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin’s 9th Annual Drills & Skills Clinics for youth ages 6-13 is underway.
Youth will have the opportunity to expand their skills in the following sports: basketball, golf and soccer.
The clinics will be held August 6-10 at various locations across the City.
The clinics are free and will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates and at the following locations:
Session Two: August 6-10
Registration for the following sports will began Monday, July 9.
- Boys and girls ages 6-13: James E. Clyburn Golf Center, 2091 Slighs Avenue
- Boys and girls ages 6-13: Greenview Park, 6700 David Street
- Boys and girls ages 6-9: Hyatt Park, 950 Jackson Avenue
- Boys and girls ages 10-13: Greenview Park, 6700 David Street
The registration period for the second session will end on Friday, July 27.
