NEW ONLINE PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR CITY OF COLUMBIA HOSPITALITY TAX GRANT APPLICANTS, MAKING THE PROCESS MUCH EASIER!

The City of Columbia is offering a new online program to make the Hospitality Grant Application process much easier and user friendly. The electronic application process will be through ZoomGrants, an online application management system. This replaces the traditional paper process system used in the past fiscal years.

The new process has many positive aspects for both staff and grant applicants and is very user-friendly. Just a few of the positive aspects are: replacing the many paper copies used in the past, streamlining the process making the process more efficient, saving time for both applicants and staff, and saving taxpayer dollars.

The Hospitality Grant Application will be available January 30, 2017 through a direct link on the City of Columbia Webpage. Please be aware, the only way to access and complete the application will be through the link provided on the COC website. Applicants will not be able to complete the application by going directly to the ZoomGrants webpage. ZoomGrants will be the only way to apply for the Hospitality Tax Grant application for the 2018 Fiscal Year (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.) Accommodations and Community Promotion Grant Applicants will continue to use the traditional application process at this time.

The City of Columbia will host a ZoomGrant Training Workshop for hospitality applicants on February 2, 2017. It will be held at Earlwood Community Center from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This will give applicants a brief overview and answer questions regarding the new online process. To sign up for the workshop, please contact Dee Dee Fanning at (803)545-3048 or [email protected].
