Small Business Week Kickoff Press Conference

National Small Business Week recognizes the contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners and celebrates their tenacity.  Over the past year, the City of Columbia has introduced a number of Business Friendly initiatives to streamline operations and encourage economic growth.  This year, the city will recognize several small business owners.  To kick-off Small Business Week, Mr. Jonathan Upton, owner of Craft Axe, will be the first to be recognized.  The establishment offers a unique experience for a group gathering.  The sport of axe throwing is quickly becoming the preferred choice for any event and celebration.

WHO: Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, City Council members, County Administrator Leonardo Brown, County Council members, Carl Blackstone with the Chamber of Commerce and TD Bank Officials

WHAT: The City of Columbia in partnership with the Richland County, Columbia Chamber, and TD Bank is hosting a press conference in addition to a proclamation presentation to kick off Small Business Week 2023
