City of Columbia Debuts New Landmarks Coloring Book at Summer Camp

WHO: Mayor J. Daniel Rickenmann, Columbia Parks & Recreation Department representatives, City of Columbia representatives.

WHAT: The City of Columbia will debut its first-ever Columbia landmarks coloring book at a press conference at Pinehurst Park Community Center on Tuesday, July 21 at 11:00 am. To showcase the artwork featured in the book, examples of pages colored by children attending City summer camp programs will be on display. Created as part of the Columbia Streams Art public art program, the coloring features 21 city landmarks, public spaces, with illustrations hand-created by local artists.

Representatives of Columbia’s Parks & Recreation Department will also highlight the City’s summer camp programs, and discuss how they provide safe, engaging environments for children to learn, play, and explore throughout the summer. Attendees will include Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, Columbia Parks & Recreation Department representatives, and other City of Columbia representatives.
