The City of Columbia held a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony for Pvolve Columbia at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (Wednesday, June 12, 2024) at 2140 Pickens Street. Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann, Columbia Economic Development, Hughes Development Corporation, Cohn Construction, along with the Pvolve Columbia staff all participated in welcoming this new business to the Bull St. District.
“Not only are we celebrating the first franchise in South Carolina right here in the Bull St. District, but it is also exciting because it is another woman owned business in our community,” said Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann. “A majority of the ribbon cuttings we’ve had over the last 18 months have been woman owned. It shows who we are as a community. That we support all businesses.”
Pvolve workout is a science-based approach that uses low-impact movements and specialized equipment to improve daily energy, strength and mobility. Owner and hometown resident, Ashley Lamb, has used the workout for over six years and is excited to operate the first Pvolve Studio in South Carolina.
“Once I started, I was immediately drawn to the fact that it was a woman owned company and it was a workout designed for women,” said Lamb. “To own this business has been my dream forever and to be a part of Pvolve.”
