Due to inclement weather with the approach of Hurricane Idalia, The Rapid Shelter Columbia (RSCO) will be open tonight, August 30, 2023. Transportation will begin at the corner of Sumter and Laurel at 2:00-3:00PM for guests. No one is allowed to walk to the RSCO-they must ride Route 7 bus.
Citizens can access services online or by calling Customer Care at (803) 545-3300. Updates will be provided on the City’s website, www.ColumbiaSC.gov.
Please do not travel unless necessary. Please avoid flood prone areas and streets.
