What: Jill Smith + Associates (JSA)— a premier counseling practice in the greater Columbia, S.C. region — is set to cut the ribbon on its new, expanded downtown Columbia office. The ceremony will include remarks from City of Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, Town of Lexington Councilperson Gavin Smith, and JSA Founder and CEO Jill Smith. Speakers will be available for interview immediately following the ribbon cutting. A reception with light hors d’oeuvres and guided tours of the 4,600 sq. ft. space will follow.
Where: The new, expanded JSA downtown location is located at 1777 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Additional parking is available in the Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church parking lots (both adjacent to JSA) and along the street.
When: Wed., July 19 — ribbon cutting at noon with reception and guided tours to follow.
Why: JSA has expanded and moved its Columbia office to a new space. The historic building, nestled between the BullStreet District and Main Street District, was purchased by JSA in December of 2022. This new location provides more counseling spaces, a separate private waiting area for families, more parking and more room for the JSA team to grow with a convenient downtown location.
With a second office in Lexington, JSA has served the Midlands with modern mental health care for 20 years. The new location in addition to the accomplishment of providing sophisticated talk therapy to individuals for the last two decades brings a unique opportunity to celebrate Jill Smith and her team.
