Columbia Parks & Recreation Department Hiring for Summer Pool Positions

Lifeguard Certification Training Offered

 

The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for seasonal employees for the 2017 Summer Aquatics season.

Available positions include pool manager, assistant pool manager, lifeguards, pool clerks, water safety instructors and swim team coaches.

Applicants must be at least age 15 or older. For full job requirements and to apply, visit http://www.columbiasc.gov/hr/employment.

Lifeguard training will begin Thursday, March 16 at 5 p.m. at the Drew Wellness Center, 2101 Walker Solomon Way. Classes will be held from March 16-25. A completed lifeguard application must be on file before the training.

Our aquatic programs offer options for all, from infants to senior citizens to people with special needs, the agency serves all levels of swimming ability and the full spectrum of aquatic interests. Programs include Learn to Swim, Competitive Swimming and Aquatic Exercise.

 

Both outdoor pools (Maxcy Gregg and Greenview Pool) and splash pads are closed for recreational swimming. Pools and splash pads will reopen for recreational swimming Memorial Day Weekend in 2017
