The City of Columbia will be hosting the Mayor’s Bike and Walk Summit on Thursday, May 4th
and Friday, May 5th
Come hear a handful of Mayors from around our state, as they discuss how biking and walking transformed their cities and towns. Then join hundreds of other transportation professionals, elected officials, community and business leaders, school district personnel, principals, SRTS champions, law enforcement, and bike and walk enthusiasts from around the state, in Columbia, SC, for two days to learn about what makes our state more bike-able, walk-able, and livable.
“The Mayor’s Bike & Walk Summit will advance conversations in our towns, cities and state on development of accessible and equitable conditions for biking and walking”, said Mayor Benjamin. “We are pleased to host the Summit and proud of the great work Columbia has made thus far to advance bike boulevards, safe crosswalks and connected greenway. Together, these features contribute to Columbia becoming a true live, work, and play city.”
